Hello, I’m Shannon – a freelance editor, writer, project manager and product developer with expertise in illustrated books and gift publishing.

I began my publishing career in digital production at Oxford University Press, then joined Thames & Hudson’s editorial team from 2021–2026, where I discovered gift publishing. For me, gift is the perfect intersection of two passions: being creative, and finding playful ways to engage children and adults in educational content.

One of my enduring loves is hefty illustrated books on art and culture – a workout for the mind and the arms – discovered during my BA in Fine Art. Later, while studying film at the University of Oxford, I swapped paint for pages and set my sights on a career in illustrated publishing – and here I am! Today, I’m based in Paris, with frequent trips to London.
